Left: Saturated Colors - Right: Bright Colors |
The standard colors for a regular cube are White, Yellow, Blue, Green, Red and Orange. Depending on the era and the manufactuer, the saturation and tint can differ. In the past, stronger colors were used, but recently, "bright" colors became standard colors.
This is an attempt to pick a set of saturated colors, and a set of brighter colors. Red is a sore point in the "Brick World", the only brighter reddish tone is "Coral". Therefore, Coral is shown here as an option, although I would tend to use the regular red together with the other brighter colors.

Left: Candy Color Theme - Right: Brickermod Candy |
Candy was the first color theme that many companies used. It used bright saturated colors, the main diffeerence was to use a medium pink or magenta tone instead of red. With regular colors becoming brighter, the difference between a current regular cube and the Candy Colors is not that big anymore. It also hit the market a bit too soon: People were mainly interested in getting more different Twisty Puzzles, rather than having the same with different colors.
The Candy Theme is easy to adapt with Brickermod. I opted for a regular Yellow instead of the Neon Yellow, because candy uses well saturated colors, in general. The cube shows here has a brighter yellow than other Candy implementations.

Left: Macaron Color Theme - Right: Brickermod Macaron |
Macaron is the Color Theme with the biggest success. Many companies are offering various Twisty Puzzles with Macaron Color Theme. The Macaron theme uses soft colors in general, almost all companies use similar colors. The main difference to a regular color set is replacing Red with a Soft Pink tone, and Orange with a Soft Apricot tone. Only QiYi uses a Soft Red as replacement for Red, and a Bright Pink as replacement for Orange.
When trying to imitate the Macaron Color Theme as Brickermod, finding a match for the Soft Apricot is a big problem. There are only very few colors coming close to that, but no 2×2 Tiles are available in such a color. The best match is "Coral", but it is definitely not a good match.

Left: Morandi Color Theme - Right: Brickermod Morandi |
This Brickermod imitates the Morandi Color Theme of a HeShu 3×3×3 Cube.
Red and Orange are the standard color tints, there are no other tones that would come closer.

Left: Stickermod CMYKOK Hexachrome - Right: Brickermod CMYKOG Hexachrome |
This is a very simple case of "Brickermod": Nine 2x2 Tiles on each face of a White Body FanXin FX7780.
CMYKOG aka "Hexachrome" is an extension of the widespread 4-Color printing scheme CMYK by adding Orange and Green to get more vivid colors. That's a total of six colors, a perfect match for a Cube Color Scheme.
The color scheme is very intuitive, only two major changes are necessary:

Left: Stickermod "Milky & Pastel"; Right: Brickermod "Colorful" |
This is a Brickermod of a Stickermod of mine. The original idea was to use six pairs of unusual colors on a "Milky" body.
There are no "Milky" bodies available, but White is just as good. Regarding the colors, the lighter "Lavender" would be a better match. But that tone is hard to find as 2×2 Tile, especially from Europe based sellers.

Left: Stickermod "Brownie"; Right: Brickermod "Brownie" |
This is another Brickermod of a Stickermod of mine. The original idea was to use six different shades of Brown on a Brown body. There are no brown Brick bodies available, so the base had to be Black. But there are enough shades of Brown in the Brick world. Unfortunately, several tones are not available as 2×2 Tile.
I ended up with five shades of Brown, so I decided to use "Pearl Gold" as sixth shade. It was clear that this gold tone must be the replacement for Yellow, and the lightest tone "Tan" the replacement for White. Then I used "Reddish Brown" and "Medium Nougat" as opposite colors, and "Dark Brown" and "Dark Tan" as third pair.
When I was done with attaching the tiles, I put the cube in Checkerboard pattern. Then I held it agailst its model, and realized that I only have to switch two colors, to get an almost exact copy.
