The following test results were taken with the NEXTO Multi-1 M1 ND-2325, Firmware 1.03.

Quick Notes

To use CF cards of more than 8GB, you need Firmware 1.03 or higher.
Downloading a 16GB CF filled with files of 16MB each takes about 19 minutes.
The built-in SD/MS slot is not designed for taking MS Duo without adapter to full-size MS. However, if the MS Duo are inserted and removed carefully, they can be used without adapter. But don't blame me if you damage your card slot.
According to a note at the NEXTODI website, the WD1600BEVE harddisk is incompatible with the whole NEXTO series due to a Master/Slave bug of that specific harddisk model.

For SD Cards or Memory Stick there is not much improvement using the fastest USB card reader. Only for CF there is an increase of about 20% compared to the built-in CF connection. But that still does not compensate for the more complicated handling using an external card reader.
